La rentrée

La rentrée La rentrée La rentrée La rentrée
This is what I wore on my second day of school. I have already reverted to wearing beaten-up jeans and dilapidated loafers most of the time (I am in a pressing need of pants, I always put off buying some until my main pair is falling apart), but I thought I'd capture one of my slightly more thought-through outfits if only to push myself to wear dresses more often. I mean, I seem to only wear dresses if you go by the photos I post here, but that's the magic of the blog-life, isn't it?
In brief, I am wearing the softest silk dress from one of my favourite vintage shops, Wildfell Hall Vintage, with a thrifted cardigan and the most comfortable suede shoes from ebay (which I now realise you can't see). Also, here are my new glasses! A fancy spell got hold of me at the glass shop, so I ended up with these Moscot Bummi. I'm still unable to wear contacts, so I have been wearing them probably more than I have worn glasses in the past ten years. I've gotten used to just not seeing, and I don't wear them all the time, but it's great to have the possibility to see properly again.
Bonus photos: my boyfriend in his awesome all-green outfit, my cat in his birthday suit, and me laughing with all my uneven teeth out. Plus, gigantic photos! Zoom out to see how they're actually centered!

P.S.I meant to write a 'part 2' to last post, but realised that all the things I wanted to write about worked better in posts of their own, oh well. Hope you're all well!

  2. Those glasses are choice! I'm looking into getting some new glasses here in korea, they are so cheap it's insane. I've had glasses since I was 10, but I was so slack at wearing them until my Mum said I could get contacts at 16, the impact it had on me (trees have individual leaves!!) as meant I never go without now!
And, from my last comment, there is a new library opening here! A big one, which apparently has many english books! Yay!!

    1. Thank you, and yay for the library! I've been wearing glasses since I was 7, and contacts since I was 10, and haven't gone without them until this summer. I like being able to see, but I like the feeling of not *really* needing some facial apparatus to get by, haha (although trees do look like those drawings you'd make as a child)! It's lucky glasses are cheap! I had a pair which I loved, but that got warped by the technician when I got new lenses put into them :( Make sure to post photos of your new frames, I'd love to see them!
